Oversized hero images silently destroy mobile speed — and paid traffic feels it first.
What you should know
What is WebP?
A modern image format that usually delivers similar quality at smaller file sizes than JPEG/PNG.
Should every image be WebP?
Most photographic and UI images benefit; keep fallbacks where needed for edge cases.
Does lazy loading hurt SEO?
Proper lazy loading for below-the-fold images is fine and helps performance; don’t lazy-load LCP heroes carelessly.
What size should I upload?
Serve dimensions close to display size. A 4000px photo in a 400px slot is wasted weight.
Will this improve rankings?
Faster pages improve UX and support Core Web Vitals — which influences visibility and conversion.
How Bitdyno approaches this
We start from the real business problem and usage scenario — not the trendiest tool. We compare options honestly, recommend only what solves the job, and put both build and long-term care costs on the table from day one.
One-line goal: invest in what your business actually needs.
